Are you lost among the numbers that identify your company? We explain how to find your way around and how the recognize. You must provide these numbers at your steps and write them on your documents administrative and commercial (quotation, TERMS AND CONDITIONS: titleContentetc.).

These data are public.

Anyone can find or retrieve the Siren or Siret number of a company if necessary. The legal and financial characteristics of the companies are accessible to all. You can consult them either on the Directory of companies, or on the Sirene directory.

Directory of companies

THEDirectory of companies allows you to:

  • Finding the Siret or Siren number of your company
  • Find the info from a company other than yours (legal, financial).

Example :

You will find in particular the intra-Community VAT number, the APE code, the Siret of all companies registered in France and all publications in the Bodacc: titleContent.

Warning  

From 1er January 2027, all companies and establishments will see their amended EPA code according to the new French classification of activities (NAF 2025). It is possible to view its new EPA code and to request a possible rectification. To do this, simply inform the Siren number of the company in the tool made available on the site Sirene.gouv.fr. The new EPA Code appears with the name “2025 EPA Code” and “2025 Activity Label”.
