Which transport companies are eligible for fuel aid?
This aid concerns road transport companies established in France and employing less than 1,000 employees.
These companies must have as their main activity the public transport of goods or collective transport of passengers or the sanitary transport (excluding taxi).
The vehicles eligible for aid are those belonging to the category M2 or M3, the ambulances and the light medical vehicles and the vehicles belonging to the category N or M1.
On the date of submission of the aid application, these vehicles must be:
- ownership of or leased by the aid beneficiary company (under a long-term lease or leasing contract);
- operated for public road transport by the company receiving the aid;
- in accordance with the requirements of the technical inspection regulations.

In what case can the aid be capped at EUR 5 000?
Road transport companies not having an accounting year ending before 30 April 2026 may benefit from aid capped at €5,000.
Companies eligible for aid exceeding €5,000 are those with a « recurring income before tax on turnover » ratio of less than or equal to 3% over the last two accounting years ended before April 30, 2026.
