The professionals concerned are egg producers, holding fewer than 250 laying hens and delivering their eggs to the final consumer at the production site (e.g. on-farm sale), at a local public market or by peddling in the production region.

Eggs can thus be sold without having been graded by an egg packing center.

For these professionals, a simple declaration is enough.

The declaration in paper form must be sent to the Departmental Directorate of Population Protection (DDPP) and the Regional Directorate of Food, Agriculture and Forestry (DRAAF) of the establishment's location.
