When an individual entrepreneur (EI) encounters financial difficulties that affect the payment of his social security contributions, he can request a payment deadline from the Urssaf.

The individual contractor subject to a actual regime tax return must be up to date in order to request a payment deadline. He must have completed his annual income tax return and indicated the amount of his profits.

If the contractor employs employees and encounters cash flow difficulties that have an impact on the payment of employee contributions, the contractor may benefit from a period of payment of his contributions as an employer.

The entrepreneur who wishes to benefit from a payment period must specify the following elements:

Background to the request : other debts, existence of a clearance plan ongoing, etc.
Origin and nature of the difficulties encountered to pay his contributions
Actions implemented to restore the situation
Estimated time required for to restore his situation and desired duration of the schedule
Other documents that could be useful for the examination of the application.

It is not necessary to also request the remittance of overdue charges. The request for a payment period is sufficient and implicitly includes the request for the delivery of late payment surcharges.
