This guide is part of National Low Carbon Strategy (SNBC) which is the roadmap for France to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions in a sustainable manner. It aims to organize the decarbonization of all major sectors of activity and sets carbon budgets (emission ceilings), in the short and medium term.

The national guide for voluntary application of the SNBC 3 to organizations (companies, public institutions, associations, local authorities) is a practical tool, developed with companies and civil business. It is intended to help organizations to define, compare and monitor their greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets and physical targets in line with SNBC trajectories and guidelines 3.

The guide allows French organizations to situate themselves in relation to the national trajectories of decarbonization of their sector, which take into account the specificities of the French context and national public policies.

The guide includes:

• One step-by-step method to define objectives aligned with the SNBC.
• Of concrete examples by sector (e.g. decarbonization of industrial processes, sustainable mobility)

It is accompanied by a accompanying spreadsheet for:

• Compare my emissions to the SNBC's sectoral trajectories up to 2050.
• Identify the physical objectives of the SNBC that may affect my activity
• Adapt calculations to the situation of my organization »
