Fire in Gironde: a call for solidarity from companies is launched

As part of the fires in Gironde, a call for solidarity from companies was launched this Sunday, July 27. Undertake Public Service take stock with you.

In the face of the fires that have been affecting the Gironde for several days, the rescue services are calling on companies who could make earthmoving equipment available, in particular: backhoes, excavators, tanks and other similar equipment.

Rescue services are also looking for drivers to drive these vehicles.

Any company in a position to assist may contact Departmental Fire and Rescue Operations Center of Gironde (CODIS 33) via email codis@sdis33.fr with the following information:

  • the name of the company;
  • the type of equipment and quantities available;
  • the municipality where the equipment and drivers are located;
  • the number of drivers available for mobilization;
  • specify the means of transport of the machines, the possible times, and the duration of availability.

CODIS teams identify available assets and contact companies when the assets offered meet operational needs in the field.
