Until now, companies wishing to recruit an apprentice were required to:

• declare ‘take the necessary measures to organize the learning’;
• guarantee that ‘the company equipment, the technology used, the working, health and safety conditions, the professional and pedagogical skills and the morality of the persons responsible for the training are such as to enable satisfactory training’.

The law on the simplification of economic life puts an end to these obligations since the conclusion of the apprenticeship contract already allows this.

It also removes the provision in the Labor Code that an agreement or branch agreement defines the professional competence requirements expected of the apprenticeship teacher.
