DGFIP: beware of fraudulent messages!

Due to recent scam attempts, the Directorate General of Public Finance (DGFiP) is warning about the increase in fraudulent emails and SMS.

Indeed, this alert concerns both professionals and individuals. They may receive text messages or emails asking them to:

  • their login credentials to their space impots.gouv.fr;
  • their bank details.

To do this, the persons behind these scams impersonate the services or staff of the DGFiP.

In this case, it is preferable not to respond and to contact the public finance services directly in order to verify the authenticity of the message.

It is also necessary to look at the reason for the message. The tax administration never ask for bank details or login credentials.
