In order to inform self-employed workers about their health-related rights and procedures, Health Insurance publishes a comprehensive guide “Self-employed: by your side for your health”. This includes 3 main parts:

  • your health and the health of your daily activities (access to care, health prevention, medical follow-up of children);
  • the preservation of your activity at key moments in your life (work stoppage, parental leave, disability, or occupational disease);
  • personalized support in case of difficulties (administrative difficulties or access to care, economic fragilities).

Reminder

Since December 2025, the Health Insurance has launched, in the event of sick leave, a new videoconferencing control device.

The advice of the Health Insurance

To effectively support self-employed workers, the Health Insurance recommends 5 essential steps :

  1. update your Vitale card;
  2. activate your Ameli account;
  3. declare a treating physician;
  4. adhere to complementary health;
  5. subscribe to a AT/MP voluntary insurance.
