The reporting of an incident or accident must be done via the online approach where the latter:

  • took place in a facility classified for environmental protection (ICPE) ;
  • is an accidental risk related to:
    • a dangerous phenomenon: unexpected release of dangerous or polluting substances (acid, slurry, methane...), fire, combustion, explosion...
    • a disturbance: damage to the integrity of equipment (deformation, damage, etc.), impact of flying fauna on an onshore wind turbine, etc.
  • is finished.

The declaration is then forwarded to the inspection of the classified facilities.

The aim of this new online approach is to simplify the reporting of incidents and accidents through a guided route specific to each situation. It also makes it possible to harmonize data collection at the national level, improve monitoring by State services and enrich experience feedback.

More than 1,200 reports per year are expected.
