The reporting of an incident or accident must be done via the online approach where the latter:

  • took place in a facility classified for environmental protection (ICPE) ;
  • is an accidental risk related to:
    • a dangerous phenomenon: unexpected release of dangerous or polluting substances (acid, slurry, methane...), fire, combustion, explosion...
    • a disturbance: damage to the integrity of people, property or the environment, impact of flying fauna on an onshore wind turbine...
  • is finished.

The declaration is then forwarded to the inspectorate of environmentally classified installations.

The aim of this new online approach is to simplify the reporting of incidents and accidents through guided and unique route. It thus makes it possible to harmonize the collection of data at the national level and to improve the monitoring by the State services.

More than 1,200 reports per year are expected.
